Question: What types of fires is this foam fire hydrant box mainly used to extinguish?
Answer: It is a professional device designed for B-type fires (liquid fires). Typical scenarios include fires involving combustible liquids such as gasoline, diesel, engine oil, lubricating oil, paint, alcohol, as well as combustible solid greasy substances like asphalt and paraffin. It is particularly crucial in factories, warehouses, gas stations, parking lots, and areas where hazardous materials are stored.

Question: What are the differences between it and the ordinary red fire hydrant box (water hydrant box)?
Answer: The main difference lies in the fire-extinguishing medium and the core components:

1. Different media: The ordinary firebox is directly connected to water, while the foam firebox must be connected to the foam liquid storage tank (foam bucket). The sprayed liquid is an air-foam mixture, which can effectively cover the liquid surface, isolate oxygen and prevent vapor evaporation.
2. Different components: The foam tank box now includes a foam proportion mixer (foam generator) and dedicated foam nozzles. The mixer ensures precise mixing of the foam liquid with water, while the nozzles produce the optimal foam form.
3. Different purposes: Water cannot extinguish oil fires (as it may cause the fire to spread or spatter), while foam is the solution to such fires.

Question: Is the material of the box, 1.0mm carbon steel, sturdy enough? Will it get rusty easily?
Answer: Absolutely sufficient and professional. 1.0mm thick carbon steel is a heavy-duty configuration in fire protection boxes, with a strength much higher than that of common thin iron sheet boxes. It can withstand bumps in the factory environment. The surface is coated with RAL3000 fire red powder paint, which is a process of electrostatic spraying followed by high-temperature curing. The coating has strong adhesion and excellent anti-rust, corrosion resistance, and UV resistance, and can withstand long-term exposure to humid, dusty, and other industrial environments.
