Industrial Hose Reels

LC & CVR Series Configuration

The product family consists of two related configurations: LC Series and CVR Series.

The LC Series provides multiple hose sizes and lengths for general industrial applications. The CVR Series uses the same general spring-driven concept and provides corresponding hose configurations for air and water delivery applications.

The supplied specification includes both models with hose and reel-only models. This allows buyers to select a complete assembly or integrate the reel with their own compatible hose.

Series Product Configuration Hose I.D. Hose Length Maximum Pressure
LC With hose 10 / 13 / 19 mm 12–21 m Up to 21 bar
LC Reel only -- -- Up to 21 bar
CVR With hose 10 / 13 mm 15–21 m 21 bar
CVR Reel only -- -- 21 bar

The exact configuration should be selected according to the working medium, required flow, operating pressure, hose reach, connection size, and installation conditions.

LC940 OLP 21 kg 17 bar 19 mm 27 mm 3/4" NPT 3/4" NPT 12 m

The LC range therefore provides three hose diameter classes: 10 mm, 13 mm, and 19 mm internal diameter.

The 10 mm configurations are available with 15 m and 21 m hose lengths, while the 13 mm configurations are also available with 15 m and 21 m lengths. The larger 19 mm configuration uses a 12 m hose and 3/4" NPT connections.

CVR Series - Hose-Equipped Models

Model Weight Max. Pressure Hose I.D. Hose O.D. Hose Outlet Reel Inlet Hose Length
CVR760 OLP 17 kg 21 bar 10 mm 15 mm 3/8" NPT 3/8" NPT 15 m
CVR670 OLP 20 kg 21 bar 10 mm 15 mm 3/8" NPT 3/8" NPT 21 m
CVR850 OLP 19 kg 21 bar 13 mm 19 mm 1/2" NPT 1/2" NPT 15 m
CVR870 OLP 21 kg 21 bar 13 mm 19 mm 1/2" NPT 1/2" NPT 21 m

The CVR models shown in the supplied specification are available with 10 mm and 13 mm internal diameter hoses and maximum pressures of 21 bar. The 15 m and 21 m configurations provide different working radii while maintaining the corresponding hose diameter and connection specification.

CVR Series Procurement Note

The supplied specification states that the CVR Series packaging does not include filling foam and requires a minimum order quantity of 10 units. This requirement should be considered for distributor, project, and wholesale procurement.

Reel-Only Models

For customers who already have compatible hoses or require application-specific hose assemblies, the LC and CVR Series can also be supplied without hose.

Series Model Weight Maximum Pressure Corresponding Size
LC LC600 OLP 15 kg 21 bar 1
LC LC607 OLP 16 kg 21 bar 1
LC LC800 OLP 15 kg 21 bar 1
LC LC807 OLP 16 kg 21 bar 1
LC LC900 OLP 15 kg 21 bar 1
CVR CVR600 OLP 15 kg 21 bar 1
CVR CVR607 OLP 16 kg 21 bar 1
CVR CVR800 OLP 15 kg 21 bar 1
CVR CVR807 OLP 16 kg 21 bar 1

These reel-only configurations are useful when the buyer needs to match the reel with a specific hose material, hose specification, existing pneumatic system, or downstream connection arrangement.

Economical Industrial Hose Reel
Figure 2: Reinforced Carbon Steel Construction Layout

Reinforced Carbon Steel Construction

The LC and CVR Series use a reinforced carbon steel structure rather than a lightweight plastic housing. The reel base and support brackets are manufactured from thick-gauge carbon steel through stamping, creating a rigid support structure for the rotating reel assembly.

The support structure has an important mechanical role. During hose deployment, the operator applies an outward pulling force to the hose. During retraction, the spring mechanism applies a rotational force to the reel. The support bracket must therefore maintain the alignment between the reel, spring mechanism, hose guide, and mounting point.

Main Structural Components

Component Construction Function
Reel Base Thick-gauge stamped carbon steel Supports the complete reel assembly
Reinforced Bracket Stamped carbon steel Carries reel and mounting loads
Reel Disc Mold-stamped carbon steel Forms the hose winding surface
Reel Surface Powder-coated steel Provides protective surface finish
Spring Mechanism Mechanical spring drive Provides automatic rewind
Guide Assembly Adjustable guide structure Controls hose exit direction
Mounting Bracket Optional swivel/swing configuration Provides installation flexibility

The stamped construction also provides repeatable geometry during manufacturing, which is important for maintaining reel alignment across production batches.

Mold-Stamped Reel Disc

The reel disc is manufactured through mold stamping and then formed into the required reel geometry.

This manufacturing method creates a consistent winding surface for the hose. A controlled reel diameter is important because the hose needs to wind layer by layer without excessive interference between adjacent turns.

The disc structure also helps keep the hose contained within the reel during storage.

For longer hoses, such as the 21 m LC670 OLP and LC870 OLP configurations, the reel needs sufficient winding capacity to accommodate the complete hose length. The model specification therefore combines hose length with the corresponding reel size rather than treating hose length as an independent parameter.

Powder-Coated Surface Treatment

The carbon steel reel structure receives a powder-coated surface treatment. Powder coating provides a continuous protective layer over the exposed steel surface and improves resistance to routine abrasion and environmental exposure during normal industrial use.

Protection against routine exposure:

  • Workshop dust & routine handling
  • Water splash & cleaning operations
  • Mechanical contact & indoor/outdoor atmospheric exposure

Note: The powder-coated finish should not be interpreted as unlimited corrosion protection. For marine environments, aggressive chemicals, continuous immersion, or highly corrosive atmospheres, material and coating compatibility should be evaluated separately.

Spring-Driven Rewind Mechanism

The LC and CVR Series use a spring-driven rewind mechanism. When the operator pulls the hose outward, the reel rotates and the internal spring stores mechanical energy. When the hose is released according to the reel's operating mechanism, the stored spring energy drives the reel in the opposite direction and returns the hose to the reel.

Pull → Deploy → Use → Release → Rewind → Store

The main advantage is that the operator does not need to manually coil a long hose after each operation. For maintenance departments, production lines, workshops, and service stations where hoses are used repeatedly throughout the day, automatic rewind can reduce hose handling time and maintain a more controlled hose storage arrangement.

Adjustable Guide Arm

One of the practical features of the LC and CVR design is the adjustable guide assembly. The guide can be adjusted to eight different directions, allowing the hose outlet direction to be matched to the actual installation position.

This is particularly important because a fixed hose outlet may force the hose to bend sideways immediately after leaving the reel.

Matching layout requirements:

  • Pneumatic tools & water supply points
  • Workstations & service equipment
  • Vehicle maintenance bays & production machinery

Optional Swivel and Swing Brackets

For installations requiring greater movement, the reel can be configured with optional swivel or swing brackets. A fixed mounting arrangement keeps the reel in one position. A swivel or swing bracket allows the reel body to follow the direction of hose movement to a certain degree.

Configuration Reel Movement Suitable Application
Fixed Mounting Fixed Single-direction workstation
Adjustable Guide Hose outlet direction adjustable Different hose routing requirements
Swivel Bracket Reel can rotate around mounting point Multi-direction working area
Swing Bracket Reel can swing relative to mounting structure Larger service radius

Indoor and Outdoor Installation

Indoor Applications

Indoor installation generally provides better protection from direct sunlight, rain, and extreme environmental exposure. Typical installations include:

  • Manufacturing workshops & pneumatic assembly stations
  • Equipment maintenance areas & repair facilities
  • Automotive service workshops & cleaning stations

Outdoor Applications

The powder-coated carbon steel structure allows the reel to be considered for outdoor service areas under normal atmospheric conditions:

  • Vehicle service yards & construction service stations
  • Agricultural equipment maintenance & outdoor utility areas

Hose Size & Connection Configuration

Hose internal diameter directly affects the available flow capacity and pressure loss. The LC and CVR Series provide different hose diameter configurations so that the reel can be matched to the required air or water delivery conditions.

Hose I.D. Hose O.D. Hose Outlet Reel Inlet Available Lengths
10 mm 15 mm 3/8" NPT 3/8" NPT 15 / 21 m
